Randall Patkin, M.D.
Dr. Patkin is a North Shore native and Valedictorian of the Swampscott High School Class of 1977. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Tufts University. Dr. Patkin received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1985. Upon completion of his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania/Scheie Eye Institute in 1989, he returned to the North Shore to join Dr. David Z. Greenseid in practice from 1989-2009. Following Dr. Greenseid’s retirement, he opened the Eye Center of the North Shore in Salem in 2009 with Dr. Robert Freedman and Dr. Robert Levy.
Dr. Patkin is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and New England Ophthalmology Society. He is a comprehensive ophthalmologist specializing in cataract assessment, glaucoma, diabetes, and routine eye care. Outside of the office, he enjoys golf, skiing, and music.
