Lens Technology
At Eye Center Optical, whatever your age and whatever your visual needs are, we have the right lens solutions for you.
Single Vision Lenses
Single vision lenses offer one viewing distance only. They are either used for near work such as reading or for distance. Single Vision Lenses are the most commonly prescribed lenses. Eye Center Optical offers Single Vision lenses in Clear, Polarized and Transitions.
Computer Progressive Lenses
With widespread use of computers and other electronic devices specialized lenses can now provide clear, comfortable vision for computer use and other activities while preventing eye strain, neck strain, headaches and blurred vision.
Bifocal Lenses
Bifocal lenses contain two different prescriptions in the same lens (usually Near and Far) with a visible line. Eye Center Optical also offers inverted bifocals for those that need to read while looking up, i.e. Electrician, Carpenter or Librarian. Available in Clear, Polarized and Transitions.
Multifocal Lenses
Multifocal lenses (also called Progressive Lenses) offer 3 viewing distances: reading, intermediate and distance, allowing wearers to keep their glasses on at all times. Multifocal lenses have progressive powers of correction (from bottom to top), easing eye strain and providing the most natural vision correction. Eye Center Optical offers Multifocal lenses in Clear, Polarized and Transitions.
Shamir Lenses
Direct lens Technology
Transferring all of the patient’s measurements along with the one-of-a-kind design is the work of our Direct Lens Technology® matched with the brainiac computer skills of our Prescriptor® software. With lightning speed, that info is passed onto the Freeform®production equipment which then takes its diamond lathe and grinds the Autograph II®design onto the back surface of the lens. What comes out is amazing… a personalized lens with the highest optical accuracy and 20% wider fields of vision.
